Celebration For the Life of
Norville Bush
1914-2000

In Loving Memory

Norville Bush was born in Anniston, Alabama on May 12, 1914 to the parentage of the late Annie Green Kirby and Maxie Bush. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized and was united with New Mt. Sellers Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama. For several years he attended and supported Seventeenth Street Baptist Church.

He was married to the late Iro Gazetta Bush. This family was blessed with two children, Helen and Melvin. Having worked at Monsanto (Now Solutia) for 41 years, he retired in 1977. During his tenure of duty he worked as a chemical operator in biphenyl, TSP, others, initially, and during his final years, he worked in housekeeping, Among the more than forty Black men working with him at Monsanto, his dear friends, Mr. Earnest Burton, Mr. James Gibson and Mr. Arthur Lanier, are the only survivors.

He departed this life Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at 6:44 p.m. at Regional Medical Center. Siblings preceding him in death are Lafayette Bush, Willie Bush, Gladys Bush, Dessie Carmichael, and Sallie Bush. Lovingly cherishing his memory are a daughter, Dr. Helen Bush Caver of Anniston. AL; sons, Mr. Melvin Bush Coleman (Nora) of Weirton, WV and Mr. Willie C. Bush of Anniston, AL; his grandsons, Norville Gazarra Caver of Anniston, AL, Melvin Coleman, Jr., Patrick Coleman, Anthony Coleman of Weirton, WV, Roy Goodson of Birmingham, AL, and Judge Gary Lewis of Gadsden, AL; his granddaughters, LaConya Coleman, Kenyatta Coleman, and Latasha Coleman of Weirton, WV; great granddaughters, Conswaela K. Caver of Gadsden, LaShandra Evans, and Dominique McCrory of Anniston, AL, two great-great granddaughters, LaChelle Coleman and Mariah Coleman of Weirton, WV; his nephews, Thomas Chemical of Anniston, AL, and James Carmichael of New York; a cousin, William Slayton of Anniston, AL; and special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jordan.

He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Queen English of Anniston, AL; Mrs. Ann Logan of Jeffersonville, MO; and Mrs. Geraldine Buchanan of Kansas City, MO; and four brothers, Felmor Motley of Wilmington, DE, George Motley of Dayton, OH, Robert Motley and Donnie Motley of Kansas City; and a host of relatives and friends.
