States Mailing Lists Coming Soon!
We are now in the process of establishing a mailing list for each state, beginning with the nine southern most enslaving states. Seeking volunteers to take ownership and responsibility for each.This series of lists will be in addition to those located at yahoogroups.com. Their role will be organization, records extraction, advocacy and resource building.

Kellogg Convention and Conference CenterThe forum provides an opportunity for citizens to identify challenges they encounter in historic preservation. Preservation experts, historians, and community representatives come together to discuss preservation strategies and solutions.
The Black Heritage Council continues its mission of initiating the preservation of the landmarks, history, and culture of black Alabamians by announcing the 2004 Black Heritage Council Forum, Preserving African American Landmarks as Historic Sites to Promote Tourism. This year's forum focuses on preserving Alabama's historic African American sites and the resulting economic benefits of effective tourism. Alabama is home to many unique African American historic attractions. These sites bring thousands of families, authors, students, and photographers to Alabama each year to gain a better understanding of the state's role in the development of the South, as well as the United States.
