Runaway Slave Ads Baltimore County, Maryland 1850

ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS REWARD - Ranaway on the 1st instant, from Gunpowder Falls, Baltimore county, Md, two Negro Men, called HENRY COLLINS and CHARLES COLLINS. Henry is a bright mulatto, aged about 21 years; his right fore-finger is bent at the first joint; about 6 feet high; wore dark clothes. Charles is a dark mulatto, about 5 feet, 10 inches in height; has a small scar under one eye; of pleasant countenance, speaks slowly, and rather of polite manner; wore dark clothes. They were provided with two suits of clothes. The above reward will be paid for the secure lodgment of both the above described negroes - or $400 for either of them - in any jail in the State.

TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS REWARD - Ran away from the subscriber in Baltimore County on the 19th inst., NEGRO DAN, five feet six or seven inches high, very black and stout made, has a scar on his left temple, round broad face and high cheek bones, small eyes and a down look when spoken to. The above reward will be given if taken out of the State, and One Hundred Dollars if taken within the State, so that I get him returned to me or lodged in some safe place.

ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS REWARD - Ranaway from the subscriber on Sunday, 21st instant, my NEGRO BOY JAMES HART, rather stout, about 5 feet 6 ot 7 inches high, quite dark, down cast look, lisps a little, about 20 years of age. He has a mark on his arm like a leat(?), in the centre of the place where he was vaccinated. The above reward will be given if taken out of the State, or $50 if taken in the State and brought home, or confined in jail so that I get him again.

ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS REWARD - Ran away on the 20th instant, my NEGRO MAN, named OLIVER TURNER. He is about 25 years of age; about 5 feet 10 or 11 inches in height; stoutly made; pleasant when spoken to; wore a grey cloth jacket, blue cotton pants, and straw hat. I will give the above reward if he is taken out of the State of Maryland, or $50 if taken in the State - in either case he is to be properly secured so that I can go get him again.
